Einstein’s Energy-Free Gravitational Field

چکیده
We show that Einstein’s gravitational field has zero energy, momentum, and stress. This conclusion follows directly from the gravitational field equations, in conjunction with the differential law of energy-momentum conservation T ;ν = 0. Einstein rejected this conservation law despite the fact that it is generally covariant. We trace his rejection to a misapplication of Gauss’ divergence formula. Finally, we derive the formula which pertains to energymomentum conservation, viz., ∮ eμ √ −g T dVν = ∫ eμ T μν ;ν √ −g dx.

Monopole gravitational waves from relativistic fireballs driving gamma-ray bursts
Einstein’s General Relativity predicts that pressure, in general stresses, play a similar role to energy density, ǫ = ρc (with ρ being corresponding mass density), in generating gravity. The source of gravitational field, the active gravitational mass density, sometimes referred to as Whittaker’s mass density, is ρgrav = ρ + 3p/c , where p is pressure in the case of an ideal fluid. Whittaker’s ...

One of Einstein’s great innovations in relativity theory was to break with the idea that there is an exchange of kinetic and potential energy as an object changes its position in a gravitational field. Instead, he assumed that the unit of energy varies in a systematic manner that can be deduced from Newton’s Universal Law of Gravitation and his own famous mass/energy equivalence relation. In th...

Gravitational waves are predicted by Einstein’s general relativity. They are time dependent solutions of the Einstein field equations which radiate or transport energy. Although they have not been detected yet, the existence of gravitational waves has been proved indirectly from observations of the pulsar PSR 1913+16. This rapidly rotating binary system should emit gravitational radiation, henc...
متن کاملGravitational energy from a combination of a tetrad expression and Einstein’s pseudotensor
The energy-momentum for a gravitating system can be considered by the tetard teleparalle gauge current in orthonormal frames. Whereas the Einstein pseudotensor used holonomic frames. Tetrad expression itself gives a better result for gravitational energy than Einstein’s. Inspired by an idea of Deser, we found a gravitational energy expression which enjoys the positive energy property by combini...

In this paper we propose a new geometric interpretation for General Relativity (GR). It has always been presumed that the gravitational field is described in GR by a Levi-Civita connection. We suggest that this may not necessarily be the case. We show that in the presence of an arbitrary affine connection, the gravitational field is described as nonmetricity of the affine connection. An affine ...
